Cider Mill

Built in 1894, the cider mill was used to process local apples to provide beverage for the Bump Tavern as well as vinegar for many domestic uses. It was moved to its present site from its original site one half mile away in 1979. It houses the orginal cider press which is powered by a 7hp single cylinder gasoline engine. Many items used in the 1800s line the walls of this 24 x 40 foot slate roofed structure.
